We’re not the only ones who try to learn the language that is associated with the environment we live in. Every creature on this Earth learns the language of the humans they are surounded by. It is a natural leaning towards a desire to understanding, love, and a sense of belonging. Your own pet learns your language; of course, it’s more difficult learning on your own than when one is taught.
Dogs and cats are our most popular domestic pet. As puppies and kittens they are born communicating with their mothers and litter mates in their own tongue. Being around humans they learn their first words, just like our own infants. Gradually they build up a vocabulary of our language, but use their own voice. This is true of all creatures. I have heard Seagulls screaming in English at each other. Dogs will bark words at us, but we don’t listen. We assume they are “just barking.”
Listen closely to the creatures around you. Learn their tongue, their voice and you will be richly rewarded with endless enjoyment, laughter, and astonishment. This world frowns on us “talking” to God’s creatures. It is a sad circumstance that should be eliminated.
Language is learned by all. The best way to learn is to talk. We need to adjust our ears to the sound of voices. Many of us cannot understand “baby talk,” but the mother knows what the baby is saying. Mothers are intimately involved with their infants and learn the intonations of their voices so they actually know what the baby is saying. So, too, we must listen to our pets and the creatures around us. Asjusting to their voices takes time, just like they adjust to our voice. They work on it, we don’t.
Maybe some day talking to other creatures won’t be strange or unusual. I don’t frown on anyone who talks to their pet or someone elses. They need to get used to us and our voices, just like we should adjust to theirs. I don’t see humans trying to learn “bark” or “meow” or “chirp”. I wouldn’t even know where to begin to learn the languages of the other creatures we live with. Surprisingly they can learn ours. Are they smarter than us? No! There are smart and stupid creatures all over the place. We humans are creatures. We are all interconnected with the same intelligence. Just listen and learn.
FLESH AND SPIRIT
Our bodies are inter-connected. The flesh and the spirit affect each other. What you do in the flesh affects the spirit and what you do in spirit affects the flesh. Once the flesh is lifeless, it still affects the spirit. One must reach total decay before one is free of their flesh. Descecrating a dead person is a sin against that person and affects their being. Don’t think it’s all over when you die!
